The Signamax 065-73FXSM80MG is a Small Form-factor Pluggable (SFP) multimode fiber module that supports Fast Ethernet, SONET OC-3, or SDH SFP over singlemode fiber cable at distances up to 80 kilometers. It adheres to the IEEE 802.3u standard for Fast Ethernet over singlemode fiber at 1550 nm, and is a cost-effective method of providing changeable Fast Ethernet singlemode interfaces to switches and media converters designed for these applications that are equipped with a standard 100Base SFP slot. The Integra Networks industry-standard Small Form-Factor Pluggable Interface Converters (SFP) for packet-over SDH SFP STM I-16.2 (15KM 1550nm), optical networking and ATM applications (Figure 1) are hot-swappable optical interfaces that plug into a variety of OEM manufacturers’ router interfaces.
Cisco offers a range of SDH SFP. Products include OC3/ STM-1, OC12/STM-4, and OC48/ STM-16 SFPs for multimode, short reach, intermediate reach, long reach (40km), and long rach (80m) applications.The SFP are compatible with the SDH SFP and ATM standards, and support the digital diagnostic functions specified in the SFF-8742 Multi-Source Agreement (MSA) and the extended operating temperature range from 23 to185°F (-5 to 85°C).Cisco SFP Optics for Packet The Eoptolink's Multi-rate Series 2.67Gb/s transceiver module integrates optics and electronics in a Small Form Factor Pluggable SDH SFP package. It is Multisource Agreement (MSA) compatible and designed for operation at 1310 nm and 1550 nm. Although optimized for OC-48/STM-16, it provides multi-rate capabilities and can be used from OC-3/STM-1(155 Mb/s) up to 2.7 Gb/s.
